The Empire Engine Company

Engine Company 2 ready to roll, (l. to r.) Brush Patrol 2, Engine 2 and Water Tender 2.
This is the Empire Engine Company led by Captain Jose Guerrero on Shift C.

Brush Patrol 2 is a red Ford/Westate vehicle. It carries
260 gallons of water and 200 feet of hose. Note the
short wheelbase and high clearance - just the kind
of vehicle needed to fight wildfires in this area.

Water Tender 2 is just plain big - built on an International
Harvester Paystar 5000 chassis to carry 8 tons of water.
Note that it has "WT-2" painted on the side - there's no replacement for this vehicle.  Engine 2 has replaceable
designations because it is a "standard" configuration and
can be replaced by another engine when it is in the shop.
