One of the themes of the planned art for the Alum Rock Library will depict the stars
seen from the Mt. Hamilton Observatory worked into the terrazzo circle on the floor

Artist Jim Hirshfield explains his plans at a public meeting.
The green terrazzo square shows another theme that will be used.
